Bearcat Tryouts huge success!

Over the weekend the Bearcats kicked off their 2012 season with tryouts at Stewart Field in Aberdeen.

The crisp morning weather was perfect for football, and the 45+ players, with a solid mix of new and veteran talent looked great as they went through some agility drills, then split off into positions.  Seven on Seven looked great as well, and even thought they were not in pads the full team season was competitive as well.

The Bearcats picked up players in several key positions, such as the defensive secondary and added some height to their already stoat wide receiver group of guys.

The Bearcats hit Stewart field again this Wednesday at 7pm for practice.

Bearcat Band!

The Bearcat Band this year is made up of people all ages, from freshman in high school all the way to retired adults. We have students from Elma, Montesano, Aberdeen and Hoquiam participating. Besides adding a full drumline and making various modifications to the group, this year we also have picked up about 35 more players from last year and are averaging a grand total of around 50 people.  The band has been practicing about a month and the drumline has been rehearsing since January to provide the music and rockin’ drum grooves you’ll hear during the pregame, quarters and halftime. I thank everyone for their participation and support.
